I agree that some form of discipline from the school for physical altercations is appropriate. It doesn't have to be harsh, but there should be some sort of consequence for physical violence. The Gunston principal wants to see more restorative-type of actions following a student mistake or misbehavior, so if anything was broken or damaged as a result of the altercation, then effort by the student to repair it should be made. If the altercation interrupted or took time from a class, a letter of apology to classmates or the victim would be appropriate. [/quote]
