I like that they give my booty a little lift without having to be super tight. And all my high rise pairs have a straight leg, which I find so much more comfortable than either skinnies or wide leg jeans.

Jeans are never quite as comfortable as leggings or, say, a pair of linen drawstring pants. I mean, I guess a very soft and worn in pair of boyfriend style jeans would be very comfy, but they would also do nothing for your figure. Which is fine! Not all pants have to hug your butt or nip your waist. But I have found that among pants that DO flatter my body, high waisted jeans are no less comfortable than other pants. You need to try on more than one or two pairs, and as with most clothes, buying higher quality items will often result in more comfort. If you are just trying high waisted styles at Old Navy or the Gap and deciding they are uncomfortable, you are kind of shooting yourself in the foot. Quality matters a lot with jeans.[/quote]
