We do not allow:

Beachwear
Gym attire including sweatpants, sweatshirts or hoodies
Athletic apparel
Jerseys
Beanies, bandanas and ball caps are prohibited for all
No hats of any kind, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts are allowed for gentlemen
Excessively revealing clothing, exposed undergarments and oversized, baggy clothing are not allowed
Clothing emitting offensive odors is not permitted to be worn anywhere on the property
Management reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who are inappropriately dressed regardless of their reservation status.

I can see some of that as racist, but I can also see that the described wear would be inappropriate at a formal restaurant.

Which of these items do you believe are appropriate at a formal restaurant:

Socks with sandals
Flannel shirts tied around the waist
Natural Light logo t-shirts
Replica Starfleet uniforms
Cat ear headbands
Clown shoes
Union suits under overalls with one strap unhooked and the butt flap open

None of these are appropriate at a formal restaurant yet all would be allowed because Truluck's decided to make their dress code based on excluding what you can't wear instead of the other way around.

If it was about maintaining a formal atmosphere for all, it would be far easier to make the rules based on what you CAN wear rather than what you can't. Yet they decided to do it the harder, more complicated way, leaving huge loopholes for outrageous, inappropriate attire but specifically excluding things associated with black culture.
