It's a little bit fussy but about as close as I can get to wash-and-wear. I spring for good quality cuts from someone who specializes in curly/wavy hair twice a year and it's worth it -- she knows how to remove some of the weight and bulk using techniques that dry cutting. I used to go to stylists who didn't focus on textured hair and for a long time I didn't realize that they were screwing me over, using thinning sheers and cutting my hair while it was sopping wet so they had no idea how to work with the wave. Getting proper cuts from someone who understands my hair is the most important part of my hair routine. I don't spend a lot on products (all drugstore brands) or tools. But I pay around $200 a cut. Worth every penny.[/quote]
