We are looking to move in the next few years.  While we are considering staying in Silver Spring/Takoma Park, we figure that it can't hurt to expand our search area and consider more possibilities.  So far, we have looked in North Chevy Chase and east Bethesda.  We have also heard good things about Kensington.  We both work: one from home and one downtown commuting by car.

We would appreciate suggestions for LGBT-friendly neighborhoods and schools in these or other areas.  Private school would be a stretch for us, but it's not out of the question.  Would be interested hearing about welcoming public school options as well.
