There have been trips where my DC was a nightmare at times but also other trips where the cousin really struggled some. I totally understand that it’s normal to feel self conscious if you aren’t used to having people see the more difficult times of day for your family. It’s really eye opening to see a full day of some one else’s life. If your child is clearly different on vs before meds they will definitely understand that. They have probably felt self conscious about aspects of how their child presents at times. You can also set the expectation that you hang out just with your family for the tougher parts of the day. We usually go do like an hour long bedtime in the bedroom because my kid is just wild when they are overtired. I’m cheering for you! [/quote]
