I actually kind of like Russian media. It's possible that a lot of what you think is anti-American misinformation is actually just American history? I was listening to Sputnik radio a couple of years ago and that was actually the first time I heard about several massive race riots in the US (and yes, I fact-checked). And who was the radio host? A Black person, who probably wouldn't have been able to have the roundtable conversation on another station. I get that it's extremely fraught right now to let Russia have a platform, though. But on the other other hand, making some kind of punitive "f you" statement to Russia isn't going to help. Putin has nukes and his ego is extremely fragile; I think I'd rather just let the stupid propaganda run on these few obscure outlets rather than piss him off more for no good reason.
The problem with these pro-Russian broadcasts that they talk about things that are true and factual and then they throw in some lies. People get confused by it. They consume the information in its entirety and swallow it whole. Fox News does it too, even when Tucker Carlson admitted that he was on the Russians side - on TV, people still believe what he says and don't realize he is a Russian asset, even when he outed himself. It's insane.
