HOWEVER, this is meant for people who are drinking, on drugs etc and might not be attentive to the cries of their baby. Like many of the CDC recommendations, it's meant for the worst possible situation but presented as a blanket recommendation because it's not like they can say "hey poor people, this only applies to you". If you are a responsible parent there is no need to have your baby in the room with you, unless you prefer that for convenience. [/quote]
