I just read through the newer comments. My experiences were pre-COVID, so  I can’t speak to the current portion sizes.  
I’ve been to the original UWS Carmine’s, and assuming the DC location is pretty much the same, I agree that it would be an excellent choice.

We've done carry out a few times and it wasn't worth it at all.  They used to do the buy one get one free and now its buy one, get one $5 and the portions sizes are much much smaller.  Not generous at all. And, they give you a few slices of bread.  The salad is not worth it and for the zucchini they give you 6 strips so its over a dollar a strip of zucchini.[/quote]
