They all currently help a lot with the things like you mentioned but it’s more as it happens vs “this is formally your responsibility”.  I don’t want to get into a power struggle with my two year old trying to make him clear the table on nights he doesn’t feel like it, but I do want the 5yo to more formally have some things that are his job whether he likes it or not [/quote]
