Has anyone used Safeway or Harris Teeter’s grocery delivery service? Is it any good? We’ve been using Giant Delivers (formerly Peapod) for grocery delivery for probably 10 years now. We’re starting to get frustrated. Being out of stock we get, supply chain stuff, fine. Being late we can deal with. But it seems like almost every week they forget a bag on the truck, we have to figure out what’s missing, ask for a refund, and then live without like 5 items for the week. Very frustrating! The final straw was this week - they delivered our groceries to the wrong house! Thanks to our delightful neighbors (across the street and several houses down, FWIW) we were able to get our groceries. No thanks to Giant - I spent 20 mins on hold just to get cut off. We’re seriously considering switching, but things like Instacart are way more expensive, so we’re looking at the grocery stores.
I’ve used Harris teeters service 3x and had bags delivered to my neighbor 1x, and missing bags 2x. Only once was it a “perfect” delivery. They use shipt. And I always tip $10 - $20. I prefers the order ahead, pick up at curbside. Rarely an issue.
