i would say that both sides are a little crazy with the religious rhetoric. on the right, you got extreme religious folks who look down on folks who dont "practice" faith to the max or who in some way shape or form done believe. on the left, you got a lot of people who do there best to be anti-religious just to throw it right back in a conservatives face.

basically, both sides try to be as extreme as possible to counter the other sides point of view. thats the very quick and dirty of it all. there are of course exceptions but the loudest folks are the extremes and thats why all this back and forth gets absurd sometimes. [/quote]
