This is for the mom's who have have had their kid in daycare from infancy through 2 years old or are in it now. Has the mask wearing of the teachers/ caregivers been ok for your child? I am looking for some reassurance/positive stories. i feel for all of you who have been dealing with this. I am extremally covid cautious and all for masks and doing good by society- I have high risk parents who live near by that I want to protect at all costs.. But I just feel concerned naturally. I also get that parents have been battling this for two years now and I am new to the party - I am sure there are tons of posts, but for whatever reason I am not finding them. I am putting my soon to be 13 month old in the sweetest inhome - so excited about the level of care, the amazing woman running it and for the socialization he'll get (he is so outgoing and sweet with new people..so far). But I am so worried about him not being able to see smiles and not see their mouths moving when learning words. Not only will daycare be a big transition for him going from part time nanny and me who works from home, (we have no choice to do full time because we are going back to work) but itll be that on top of not being able to see his caregivers face. And like what will this do for language development and reading ques during this pre reading/ on the cusp of talking time. The kids wont be wearing masks, however - aged 6 months - 2. I dont have other financial options besides this, so I am looking to hear from the working moms will full time care. Is your little one doing ok? Have they still thrived?
