Writeopia seems to be geared to the passionate writer more so than the DC who needs more instruction. Does anyone have experience with this they can talk to?

The thing I find really frustrating about all these programs is what a poor job they do in communicating. Ironic.

What’s their curriculum based on? I know so many people who are looking for a Hochman Method approach, but can’t even find a reference to sentence-paragraph-essay structure anywhere in these descriptions.

Who is this program geared toward? Passionate writers, reluctant writers, parents who are trying to keep their kids occupied for a couple weeks? Most of these descriptions seem to cater to the latter based on their blandness.

Does anyone at these companies respond to an email? (Not generally.) It would be genius if they followed the discussion on DCUM, where parents come for information (with a side of snark).

The only exception to this seems to be the math programs, but only about math. They are really clear on who should be in what math class, but go back to being wishy-washy on language arts courses.

Rant over. Can anyone provide guidance on who Writeopia is geared toward? Or anyone who uses the Hochman Method?[/quote]
