We inquired about it and were told that was not an option. Maybe they give that option to Managers and above? Nightmare it is to deal with US taxes as a World Bank staff.

Glad that I was at least correct after a PP lumped me into a posts of the clueless. Reality is I know exactly which firm prepares global tax reconciliations for your employees. Sorry that you are not eligible![/quote]

The responsibility for preparing and submitting a tax return always rests with the individual. The World Bank and other UN organisations would never provide that service. The reasons are obvious. They employ staff from many countries so it would be extraordinarily complicated, they wouldn’t want to be liable for any errors or problems, and there are thousands of employees so it would be very expensive. You could email the WBGFN and ask if they have any lists of CPAs. They are the ones that organise periodic lunchtime presentations on tax issues. Dale Mason, who used to be with Wolf and do a lot of the presentations, left and set up his own shop. Perhaps his rates are more reasonable without the large firm overhead.
