Do you find the idea of "equality" which is part of Marxist thought offensive?
It's ok to find positive elements in things you don't necessarily agree with.
Don't you think we should be teaching our kids to look at history from different perspectives and better understand history in context and its impacts on society today? That's a central tenet of CRT, yes? I think we should; but I don't believe it has to be done by also telling white kids they/their race are personally responsible and by making them feel bad about who they are.[/quote]

Aspects of the vision of Marxism are.  
I'm good with everyone having the basics they need for a dignified quality of life.
I'm good with everyone contributing to their abilities.
I'm good with those who can do more sharing with those who aren't able to do as much or enough to be self-sufficient and independent.
I'm good with being concerned with the common good.
You're not?
You're more for "to each his own"?
You're more for "that's your problem, I don't need to be concerned?"
You're more for those with excessive means being permitted to access loopholes and not being held to the same rules or expectations so they contribute less than their relative proportion?"
You're more for focusing on the way Marxism has been implemented, or has failed, and therefore throwing out the baby with the bath water?
You're more of a "some animals are more equal than others" kind of person?

I never suggested Marxism is ideal or even practical.  But I don't think all of its tenets are evil just because Marxism itself in real life attempts of implementation have failed or have resulted in authoritarianism, autocracy, or loss of individual rights, or whatever other negative result that really wasn't the intent behind the theory.

So, if teachers want to teach history truthfully and educate their students on the impacts on various communities the policies and laws our country has implemented and followed through the decades, I'm good with that even if those same teachers are advocates for CRT or Marxism or even racial supremacy.  I don't have to adopt all of their philosophy or all of their issues to agree with an aspect of their agenda.[/quote]
