DC doesn’t have a grocery tax. We’re doing fine - universal pre-k, full paid leave, UBI pilot for new moms, and free Covid tests to all residents. But I suppose we’re too right wing for you?[/quote]

DC is irrelevant.. Virginia has this tax and generates revenue from it (I disagree with the tax, btw).  The question is how will Virginia make up the lost revenue from eliminating the tax.[/quote]

Oh I'm sure Youngkin will think of something. Its not like VA is hurting for money. And the loss in grocery tax revenue is nothing compared to what McAuliffe's police of implementing paid leave and universal pre-k in Virginia would have done. If you're so worried about pennies you should count your blessings that didn't happen.[/quote]
