I feel bad for the mothers AND the kids. It is our society that’s creating these conditions that push people to their breaking points. Here’s a simple way to improve: universal health care. I imagine you’re against this and other measures to improve lives. As long as people are weighing the cost of getting help or buying food they’re going to self treat —and the results will continue to be tragic. [b]Desperate people do desperate things.
