My 9th grader completed the tech credit last summer, will take Health A next summer, Health B summer before 11th. In an IB program, wants to make sure he can take orchestra all 4 years since there are few open electives in the program.
Are you sure it will be an option to take A this summer and B next summer? My 9th grader wants to do that as well but we weren’t sure what the options would be.
I'm in the same boat. My current 9th grader is registering now and is doing so based on the hope that she can take Tech B and Health A this summer. But it is pretty difficult not knowing if the classes will be offered, or when.
Our HS presentation indicated that it would. People were wondering if it was now a 6 week class though? This full credit health, PE, and Technology leaves very little room for kids to take electives or explore things in 9th/10th so they can then deepen study for 11th/12th. I honestly feel they should just include parts of during the PE required like in MS and then require a specific 0.5 credit health class. This additional credits make it really difficult for any band/orchestra students.
