Looks like it will take effect after the November 2022 election? So that’s interesting. Still paltry when you look at how much they’re responsible for (hell, do MCPS janitors make more??) but it’s about to get better. Still, neither my husband or I could run for office and still have enough money to support our family of 4 in Wheaton. I have an advanced degree in education policy, he has a career in government relations- but there’s no way we could afford to take one of these BOE positions.[/quote]
