It's been in the 60s until yesterday and that's not Vail's fault. If you look at the webcams they are making snow like crazy at Whitetail (they got NONE of this storm). It looks like 2 trails are almost ready to go and they are working on one of the backside trails now. I'm guessing they will be open this weekend, although I will wait until next week when they have a few more open. OP, they are all fine for learning. Roundtop is a little farther from the DC area. I am equidistant from Whitetail and Liberty, but your drive may be different.[/quote]
