I've known many with CCIM or SIOR. Some impressive, some not so much. Without knowing where you really want to end up I'd consider getting PMP and finding a mentor or two doing what you want to be doing. Regardless of if you are looking to do local development or work for a larger firm most doors in real estate are opened by relationships.
