[quote=Anonymous]Here is the question, what do you think is going to happen at the end of the miracle diet where you lose the weight you want quickly? If nothing about your eating habits changes, you will be right back where you started before you know it. You need to get a handle on what you can eat and learn to eat mindfully as they say. As far as exercise goes it is great for you and will keep you healthy and energized and more, but it will not drive your weight loss unless you become a serious athlete. Weight loss happens in the kitchen, fitness happens in the gym, and I do not take credit for making that up but it is true. If you want to get your weight under control you need to understand what you are eating and what your body needs. I am 47 and I lost 36 pounds over 7 months. I feel better about myself physically and my appearance than I have since my mid 30s. I did it by creating a moderate caloric deficit over an extended period of time. I used a free calorie tracking app on my smartphone. I did not try to lose weight fast, my goal was 1 pound a week so I did not ever feel like I was starving. I weighed and measured my food. I ate almost anything I wanted but I planned for it. I made exceptions on occasion for a big night out, birthdays, vacations, etc. In short, I learned how to eat as the slimmer person I wanted to become. I read the suggestions on fat2fitradio.com, where they have calculators for what is a reasonable calorie deficit that can get you to where you want to be while you learn to eat appropriate amounts.
