Has anyone been to the Kennedy Center this week? As I understand it, you have to bring your vax card or show negative test. Wonder what people who can't get tested will do? Roll the dice?
Or better yet, get vaccinated. You don't have to test if you're vaccinated. So what's the problem?
100% but people with kids that aren't fully vax yet still have to show a test. There are family shows tomorrow and CHristmas day at the KC, and its close to impossible to find a test now.
Kids 5-11 could easily have been fully vaccinated by now if you vaxxed in the first round. And (unpopular opinion coming) kids under 5 are too little to derive a whole lot from theatre at that age such that the benefit outweighs the difficulty of Covid testing and/or omicron exposure. I say this as a huge theater person who took my kids to all kinds of theater — they didn’t develop appreciation/understanding until 7 or 8 years old.
