I would go with Glossier. They do a good job with the natural look. They don’t have many kits, but there is one that includes cloud paint (blush, can also be used on lips), lash slick (non dramatic mascara) and boy brow (eyebrow mascara- eyebrows are a focal area for makeup these days). I would also throw in Sky Wash, which is a great, sheer eyeshadow and maybe a tinted lip gloss.
This is good. But honestly, if she isn’t really into wearing makeup, why push her to wear more? Seems like it sends the wrong message. Not wearing makeup is a good thing.
Yeah I hear you, and I generally don't push her into these directions. But I also want to give her options, just because I'm a non-make-up-wearing, non-conforming feminist doesn't mean I shouldn't show her other paths too.
There is much more overlap between skincare and makeup now than there used to be. I would be fine with my young teenage daughter wearing a serum with a slight tint or hydrating lip gloss with just a touch of color. Heck, maybe she’d start taking more of an interest in taking care of her skin if the products are more “fun.”
