+1 Roger Stone was at the heart of that whole terrible world and he and other RWNJs knew that they couldn’t get away with Watergate because normal people are fundamentally decent, or if they’re not, they know enough to pretend like they are. They knew they needed to propagandize people and keep them dumb, encourage their worst instincts. Voila. Fox. Rush. OAN (paid for by US tax dollars!) The whole right wing media ecosystem.
