How well behaved are your kids? If they're loud and whiny and messy take your zoo to McDonalds. If they can sit quietly and engage and be pleasant go someplace that doesn't require a reservation but is a step up like Olive Garden.
Get off the parenting board, you def don’t have kids.
The key here is that if you have kids that are wild just don't do it. Order the food for delivery. We believe in disciplining our kids, doing family things when the kids aren't tired, and working with them when they are ready to leave. We took our kids that age to a nice restaurant. Steaks were about $25 and up. Kids were well behaved for the most part. You have to be willing to take the 4 yr old for a walk around the restaurant if they get inpatient. You may have to bring something for the 6 yr old to color or something else quiet. No noisy video games. You can't expect to sit forever and take things leisurely. Order a kid friendly appetizer and something simple for everyone to eat. Keep the kids separated if they tend to fight. Tip your waiter well. Maybe make this a lunch or really early dinner.
