Thank you so much for sharing! I hope your pup returns to her normal self very soon! May I ask-how bad the incontinence was and if you considered natural Products? We are flooded with so much info and are trying to figure out the best way.
She got to the point where 2-3 times a week she would leak in the evenings when laying down in the period between her dinner and bedtime (when she goes into her crate). Most of the accidents were just leaking drops, not full pees, though it started as full pees. She tested positive for UTIs twice when the fuller pees were happening but then negative 3 times and she was still having the leaking incidents. It was always when she was laying down, semi-sleeping. Not intentional peeing. I didn't consider natural products simply because I was exhausted and exasperated and was really hoping for a quick solution. Plus I really like and trust my vet and feel comfortable deferring to him since this is my first dog and I have zero experience or background in anything animal-related. Probably when this pack of incurin is done I will have her go off it for a while to see what happens. Maybe then I will consider some natural supplements for maintenance purposes if she's doing ok. Also may try switching to Proin if the problem comes back when she's off the incurin.
I hear you and hope it resolves after one pack! Our vet is pretty confident about its safety as well. But wondering since I have heard people giving DES once or twice a week as opposed to everyday or every other day with incurin.
