We all get riled up every four years. That level of support is not sustainable to grow the game. Domestic leagues need to come first. Imagine if we treated basketball this way. Nobody really cares about the Olympics in terms of spending 4 years developing our Olympic Basketball team. The NBA is the undisputed top league in the world and that is what we watch, drives fandom as well as our overwhelming success.
