At 2 years old, I would think that snack and nap times are standard for the whole class, not individualized. So asking the director (via email, so they can respond when it's convenient) for the room schedule is reasonable.

I don't think getting times of diaper changes is reasonable. I don't want teachers spending their time tracking that. What would you do with the information, anyway?[/quote]

We got an info sheet with that level of info (bottle times & amounts, diaper changes, meals if there were any, naps) when the kids were babies in daycare. Once they moved into the toddler room we stopped getting the sheet. They’re on a schedule for meals and naps, we have a menu of what they’re eating that day, and they only let us know if there’s a concern about something. Now after several years and 2 kids at our daycare we are friendly with some of the caregivers and we may chat a little more at the door at pickup if they’re not too busy.  But mostly our interactions at the end of the day for our 2 year old are as you described - very brief.

That said, we know and are comfortable with this daycare and it isn’t our first kid. If you have concerns, it’s worth raising with the director or visiting a few more centers. [/quote]
