Why are you not doing these things? We have a few friends we do indoor play dates with. Plus plenty of outdoor park play dates. My kid was hospitalized with RSV as a toddler, which is a risk we all somehow learned to accept. The risk of COVID to young kids is still incredibly low (there’s no reason to think this new variant is any more deadly). You take risks like driving in a car with your children every day, but presumably the upsides are worth the small risk. Anyone not letting their kids have a normal childhood at this point is doing it themselves. We had a giant get together with cousins yesterday and it was so fun seeing them all play.
We don't do them because of peel like you. You are doing multiple get togethers with multiple groups which puts us all at risk but OP is sending her kids to school and doing everything else so her kids are having a normal childhood and she's just being dramatic. Covid in kids is increasing. Thanks you for your help with that!
