+1.  Given they outright said the maps were drawn with the aim of 'not diluting voting power EOTR' (ie with the aim of not giving a shit that the people moved would have zero voting power), the only thing you can do is use your money to finance a good primary competitor, various information or misinformation campaigns, etc.  Basically do what the Republicans have been doing the last 20 years.

I think the main goal was to preserve black voting power and economic diversity in Ward 6 by keeping SW and Kingman Park/Rosedale. Incorporating those neighborhoods out those neighborhoods into W7/W8 would have just made W6 whiter and wealthier, which the council did not want to do. [/quote]

If you look at the map, there's a good argument that Kingman Park/Rosedale are a "community of interest" that should be kept together with the rest of the Hill.  Personally I think that the rest of Hill East should stay in Ward 6 for that same reason.  [/quote]
