Is the cat spayed? If not, spay surgery immediately. Otherwise: for the urine spots, +1 to Nature's Miracle. Soak the spot and the enzymes "digest" the urine as it dries. Very effective. I've also had good luck with the Woolite carpet and upholstery cleaner in the aerosol can with scrubbing tip. For the cat: confine to your son's room if possible. Put a shower curtain liner or other plastic sheeting down around the litter box. Litter box must be kept scrupulously clean. Also you might want to try Feliway plugins--if the cat hasn't been around other animals, she is probably stressed.[/quote Yes cat is spayed . I’ll order natures miracle ASAP. I did tell him to confine the cat in his room. I guess having to have one room professionally cleaned is better than the whole house. Also I did tell my husband to mention to his son to make sure he is keeping her litter box clean! I didn’t want to ask his son this stupid question.
