I also believe in redemption, but I also believe that not everybody needs to be a public figure.

The only reason this woman is seeking "redemption" is because she wants to make money writing books and appearing on tv.  It's not out of a genuine interest in being a role model or "doing good in the world."  Her reappearance after laying low for however long is carefully timed and choreographed by an expensive team of PR people.

Think of it this way: the space this woman takes up in media could be held by someone who, perhaps, is a genuinely nice person who has never told a victim of abuse to kill herself.  Wouldn't that be something?  If our society could elevate someone who is just nice?  Think of it, you could be buying cookbooks from a female Keanu Reeves type of character instead of Chrissy Teigen.  I only say Keanu Reeves because he is the only celebrity who popped into my head who appears to be a really genuinely kind and wonderful person.[/quote]
