On August 5, 2021, Resolution 19-975 (PDF) was passed by the Montgomery County Council, sitting as the Board of Health, formally adopting the CDC guidance into law. The resolution requires the use of face coverings in indoor public spaces as long as the level of community transmission is in a status of substantial or high. The requirement to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces will terminate when the level of community transmission reaches a status of moderate or low for seven consecutive days.[/quote]
