Hire two drivers and fly them out there, and cover their trip expenses.
Sounds a lot more complicated than having a contract with an insured moving company.
Cost to freight a vehicle cross country will run about $2,200 and up. And it won’t be to your location. You’ll either have to pick it up at a terminal or meet the driver of the transporter whenever/wherever is most convenient for them. These companies aren’t taking your car and putting it on their carrier and driving it directly too you. They’re waiting until their trailer is full before they leave. Then they’re dropping off and picking up other cars along the way. So it could be up to a couple weeks or more before you get your vehicle. Compare that to a one way plane ticket, hotels for 4-5 nights, and $600 pay for the driver, and it works out to slightly less. Even at worst. Plus your car gets there faster and comes directly TO you.
