For example NY is December. I was very close to that and was 17 in the beginning of my freshman year in college and there were plenty others. OP I wouldn't worry about kids being X number of years apart in school. I'd worry about what you feel their educational goals are. If dear child is ready for K and you think they will be board if they wait then put hom in a private K and have him test into public for 1st greade. Or just wait and put DC in when they are suppose to go.[/quote]
