I've used Megan Valentine as my GYN, but haven't had a baby yet so can't comment on that part of the job. As a doctor, I find her to be knowledgeable and compassionate.
Dr Valentine delivered my second kid, she's great, I agree!
PP again... +1 for Jamshidi -- I just read the comment about Valentine directly above mine and I'm very surprised. Also, I delivered two kids at GW, had two epidurals and one induction and I always felt extremely well cared for. It was actually the postpartum stuff that could have been a bit more personal, but I realize that we were healthy and possibly "lower priority" than whatever else was going on on the floor that night. They did bring back the nursery and I got blissful 3-hour chunks of uninterrupted sleep, which was amazing. I find GW gets bashed on these boards all the time and it's simply not deserved. You get seen by A LOT of people, because it's a huge practice and it's also a teaching hospital; I get that some people don't love that part and want a smaller, more intimate experience. I actually liked that there were more eyes/brains involved in my care, and it all seemed so well coordinated.
