[/quote] At present, there is no expansion of "local norming" to the HS magnet admission process. It does exist at the lower grades, but the impact is negligible at the CES level as those programs are already regional in nature. So, there's actually no disadvantage to applying for the HS magnet coming from a BCC feeder. If you happened to be a genuinely poor person who had scraped together all you could afford for a rent-controlled apartment in Bethesda, however, you would get special consideration as a person who qualifies for FARMS.
