We bought a Honda CR-V with the same thinking. It has only about 130,000 miles on it (nothing for a Honda supposedly) and the a/c stopped working. When we took it in we were quoted $6,000 for repairs because "the entire system had grenaded." Honda sent us a letter after this claiming it's not a recall issue, but if you filed a claim before a certain date and your car had less than x amount of miles on it they would refund you a certain percentage of your repair bill. It still runs, but you can't run the air conditioner or use the defrost, so technically it didn't break down, but it's really just a grocery getter now. Disappointing given Honda's reputation. We'll never buy a Honda again. [/quote]
