I got the pcr test on Monday and just got the results today!
10:33 PP here-- OMG, that is a long time! I just checked mine, and it says they haven't received the sample yet (after about 22 hours from when I turned it in at Walgreens). I don't see how this is really useful from a public health standpoint if it takes that long. I got sick Wednesday, couldn't get an appointment for the test until Thursday, and now probably have to wait until the middle of next week for test results. Meanwhile, I'm starting to feel better from whatever I have already. It all leaves me feeling like I shouldn't have bothered to test.
Our private school requires the kids to have a Pcr test so that’s why we didn’t do the rapid one.
There is a rapid PCR test (ID Now) but harder to get appointments. Walgreens offers it, but again, you need to book appointments early which is also insane because other than for travel who plans ahead for covid testing.
