I've had kids there for a very long time. The center had some issues with covid the past year, and there has been some turn over with teachers. The teachers who left were all amazing, but really over qualified to be working in a preschool -- they all became directors or principals of other schools. The teachers who are still there have all been there many many years, and are all great. I know some parents were disappointed by the teacher turn over, but I don't think that it was really the center's fault. Its not an easy time to be a teacher, and I think a lot of the ones that left did it for things like wanting a shorter commute. The school is much smaller now than it was previously. There is only one pre-k class (used to be 2), only one three year old class. They are keeping a lot of the precautions they had in place for covid last year this upcoming year as well. There's no mingling of classes. We haven't had so much as a cold since covid started, but I think other classes had issues with, and the center closed down for two weeks last year because of a suspected outbreak. I'd rather they close for a short period than have a covid outbreak make everyone sick. I think they said that nearly all of the teachers are vaccinated. Its a good community and school. The parents are a little high maintenance, but I think that's true of anything in Arlington. The teachers remember my older kids and are very nice to them when we see them on the street or around town. They make an effort to spend time outside, which right now with covid is a high priority for me. My kids who are now in elementary school were very prepared, even though they never explicitly made that a priority in preschool as far as I know. My kids never complained about going to school. Overall its a good school.
