It’s not really. We want to go visit vaccinated grandparents in Delaware before school starts. We drive, stay in their house, and don’t eat out or do anything risky. We can’t do this. But we could go to kings dominion and eat indoors with hundreds of other people and show up at daycare the next day. That’s why DOH put wiggle room in the guidelines. I think daycare can ask that parents use judgment, but it’s brutal to say you can eat maskless indoors and stay in a hotel in Virginia Beach but don’t get in the car and stay at grandmas for a weekend. Totally agree. Our daycare has the same rule and it's ridiculous. Daycare would get more honesty from parents if they were able to decide on a case-by-case basis. Going to a cabin in WV is 10 times safer than going to Ocean City, MD. I know lots of families from my daycare that have lied about where they were actually going.[/quote]
