Things like empathy, interpersonal relationships, building friendships - all of which will help strengthen marriages - are things that should be taught to children in schools but parents freak out over that for some reason. Also relationship/marriage courses and counseling, plus individual therapy, should be available free or very cheap, and adults should be strongly encouraged to do it (rather than it being stigmatized as it is now).

It’s always seemed very strange to me that we received 12-20 years of schooling to prepare us for our jobs, but we receive none to prepare us for the things that are [b]actually important,[/b] such as marriage, friendships, [b]raising children[/b], living a fulfilling life, etc. [/quote]
