The problem is that the DCU ownership doesn’t make the academy a priority. They underfund it and pay their coaches poorly, so there is constant turnover. The ownership absolutely destroyed the academy with their massive budget cuts, and the idiotic decision to move it out to Loudon, which is simply impossible to get to for many.
