I mean, I'm sure you celebrate some of them, but Washington's Birthday? Likely not.

Look, this is just the nature of the contract. If it bothers you that much, sign on as permanent for the feds (or someplace private). Then you usually get holiday pay.

I'm a physician who works for HHS. If we are on call on a holiday, we *ONLY* get paid for 8 hours holiday pay, not the full hours worked. Sucks, but it's the nature of the beast. All jobs and contracts come with pros and cons. You just deal with them, or you change your working situation.[/quote]
