The scenario in OK where the woman had 20 minutes to get ready for the home invasion, load the guns, call 911 to ask permission and make sure her baby was taken care of before the actual act of defending herself and her son doesn't happen as often as the scenario where someone breaks in and the victim has very little warning. If your guns are so readily accessible that you'd be able to pull them out and use them to protect yourself with little warning, then they're readily accessible enough that your 5 year old will be able to find them and get hurt as well.

I guess the bottom line is that you apparently see abortion as a right to life issue and I see it as a medical decision that is private. You see gun ownership as an issue of self defense and protection and I see it as something that is usually more dangerous than protective for the people the guns are meant to defend.[/quote]
