Survivalism means being prepared and able to live off the grid, hunt/grow your own food, build your own shelter, survive without any benefits of modern society. Stop being dramatic. Some teens go on backpacking trips to Europe at your son's age. So. Is your son prepared to travel by himself in his own country? Is he used to taking public transportation on his own here? Has he traveled by himself already to different states? Does he know how his bank account works, and how to keep IDs and money safe? Can he orient himself pretty well? Ask for directions?
