Also endorsing west coast, but also — the gloves don’t last. My DD goes through two to three pair per year. Usually we get the next about 4-5 months in, then the new gloves move into training rotation for a week or so to break them in, then the old game gloves become the training gloves, and the old(er) training gloves are trashed. Literally, as in only fit for the trash in both condition and stench.
If they don’t last then maybe they aren’t high quality after all? Why would you endorse them if they have to be changed more often than you change your underwear? Or is it common to go through so many pairs of gloves a season regardless of brand?
I would say 4-5 months is pretty long for a good quality gk glove. You should also wash them every3rd wearing. My keeper goes through a new pair about 2 1/2 to 3 months and rotates the game pair into training the training pair. Also the cut of the glove will affect the durability. Negative cut last the least but seem to perform very well for many keepers. It all comes down to personal preferences. The other side note WestCoast all have removable finger saves. Easy to take out and save for use when there is an injury. 99% of Keepers do not want or use finger saves.
