[/quote] Oxford & Cambridge only want 5 ‘s , but that is to meet the standard to be called in for an Interview ( to the make that cut in the application process) not for credit In USA most science and math majors can only receive waiver of entry level class for a score of 5 ( say AP Physics or BC Calc ), but for a History or English course you can place out with a 4 I think roughly 1-2 percent of AP exam takers score a 5 .
